Slum Village from Detroit, Michigan, formed in 1996. The group is known for its eclectic blend of jazz, funk, and soul, and its lyrics that often deal with social and political issues. The group's most famous members are J Dilla (James Yancey).
The legendary hip-hop group Slum Village will be performing live in Hamburg, Germany at the Logo on April 11, 2024. The show is part of their upcoming European "Since 92" tour and will be a rare opportunity to see these pioneers of the Detroit hip-hop scene live in concert.
